Turning unemployed youth into employable talent

Over 54% of India's population is under 25 years old. IITP addresses the skills shortcoming by combining university and industry to improve the skills of unemployed youth and make them employable.

Students registered under the programme — called Trainees — gain on-the-job training, recruitment-camp access, skilled-manpower upgradation and an IITP Skill Certificate on completion.

Eligibility of Trainees

Who can join IITP

Age

Trainees must be at least 18 years of age as on the date of registration.

10th

Qualification

10th pass onwards, including 12th and ITI students and above, depending on the course.

Sourcing

Sourced by training-program companies from urban and rural unemployed youth.

Medically fit

Medically fit candidates shall be considered for admission.

Duration

Training program shall be for a period of 12 to 24 months.

Contract

A contract is signed between the IITP agent and trainee, governing all terms — not an offer or guarantee of employment.

Responsibilities of BSA Edutech

End-to-end programme delivery

  • Sourcing of IITP students
  • Enrolment and induction of new IITP students
  • Provide an IITP ID card to all students
  • Provide the training of IITP students
  • Impart necessary guidance to students undergoing on-the-job practical training
  • Supervise student attendance at the customer site
  • Run student payroll (attendance 1st to 30th/31st) and pay on or before the 7th of every month
  • The customer shall not treat IITP students as its employees for any reason

Job mela & sourcing

Conduct the job mela and source candidates.

Shortlist

Shortlist suitable candidates for the programme.

Induction

Complete induction formalities for new trainees.

Registration

Registration via the special BSA IITP software.

Bank verification

Create / verify the candidate's bank account.

Contract letter

Provide the BSA IITP contract letter to candidates.

Deployment

Deploy candidates at partner companies.

On-the-job training

Provide structured on-the-job training.

Attendance & billing

Company shares attendance; BSA raises billing & invoice.

Stipend & slip

Process monthly stipend and issue the stipend slip.

Transfer proof

Submit bank-transfer proof to the customer.

Examinations

Conduct OJT practical and annual theoretical examinations.
